Erika Freaks Out in the SpIN Crowd About Lip Augmentation

The Spin Crowd is a new "reality" show on E! starring Jonathan Cheban, the owner of Command PR. The show is formally known as The Spindustry, although nobody seems to care that the show produced by Kim Kardashian suddenly resurfaced with a new name.

Well last night Cheban ordered his first year associate Erika Ledesma to get dermal fillers in her lips and he even went as far as to pay for the procedure and set up the appointment.

In case you didn't see the show, Ledesma CRIED about a. having her boss tell her she needed to enhance her lips and b. after, during and before her procedure about the devastating transformation she was making to have to keep her job.

Well hunny, if you want to play ball in the big leagues, you gotta step up to the plate.

As someone who's had numerous lip fillers injected I can say it certainly doesn't make you unrecognizable.

I think her attitude towards the procedure and Cheban's suggestion was childish, there's no difference from putting on some spanks to squeeze into an Alice + Olivia dress than to get a little filler in your lips. You're still using outside measures to achieve a "more desirable look" that society has established.

So grow up girl, but thanks for the dermal filler PR (any press is good press as Im sure Cheban knows) and Im sure Restylane and Juvederm appreciate the product placement!

Jessica Simpson's Lip Inflation

With the release of her country album, Jessica Simpson, 28, looks like she has gotten a little lip boost. Back in 2007 she admitted to trying Restylane to try to get a fuller pout, and according to MakeMeHeal.com it looks like she has again experimented with fillers. Although she has not confirmed getting fillers again, recent pictures look like she may have gotten some injected into both her upper and lower lips. The picture to the right is of Simpson taken back in 2000 for InStyle magazine. Ladies and gentlemen, I do not think this is all the result of plumping lipstick and lipgloss! If it is Restlyane or Juvederm, both hyaluronic acid fillers which are non-permanent and made from a naturally derived material found in the body, you will probably just see it fade over time just like the last time she did it. Most lip fillers like these get resorbed by the body over a period of 4 to 6 months after they are injected.

Plastic Surgery: An International Sensation

Cosmetic surgery practices have reached every corner of the earth, including but not limited to the U.S., Brazil, Asia, Europe, and now-- India. Bollywood sensation Koena Mitra, though it cannot be confirmed, may have had a little work. Her first big break was during a Gladrgs Modeling Contest in 2002, and when she became a semi-finalist in the Miss Intercontinental competition. Since then Koena has starred in movies, commercials, and advertisements and has become an iconic celebrity in India. (Read her bio at chakpak.com).

What some may (or may not) have noticed is Koena's altered appearance since she first hit the Bollywood scene. Looking at the second picture listed below, it is clear Koena is wearing colored contact lenses, and may have undergone a rhinoplasty to reduce the size of her nose and refine the tip (she has a bit of alar collapse if you look closely). She also looks like she has permanent make-up tattooed on her face, including her eyebrows. She may have also had a filler like Juvederm or Restylane injected into her lips to make them appear fuller, and possibly even breast augmentation. She looked gorgeous in the first picture and probably didn't need a thing, but no matter what she's done, she remains an exotic beauty.

Plastic Bunny

Traci Bingham is a former playboy bunny and Baywatch ‘actress’, who has also become a staple on the reality tv circuit. Baywatch, if you didn't already know, was that great show that consisted of beautiful women running around the sunny beaches of California saving people in skimpy red bathing suits. famousplastic.com states, "It’s easy to see why Traci has been unable to find steady acting work once Baywatch ended. After all of the plastic surgery she has had done, she looks like every other wannabe model in Los Angeles. Girls that look like that are a dime a dozen in Hollywood." (ouch!)

Although they didn't have the nicest things to say about this former playboy bunny, who are we to judge? Perhaps she has had a little too much filler injected into her lips, causing a swollen and unnatural look, as well as opting for implants too large for her body frame.. To each their own I suppose. That California look isn't for everyone, I guess.

Is The Material Girl Made of--Material?

Everyone can agree that Madonna takes incredibly good care of her body. We've watched Madonna evolve throughout the years from pop-tart to pop-icon. We've watched as she has mastered yoga, studied kabbalah, and now that she has recently hit the big five-o-- gotten a facelift? There is no question Madonna is looking surprisingly fresh these days, but has Madonna gone under the knife?

Madonna most likely underwent Botox injections, which paralyze the muscles that make wrinkles more pronounced, to remedy the creases throughout her forehead and glabella (space between the eyebrows).

While a fifty-year-old woman is expected to have jowls or an ill-defined jawline, Madonna seems to be one lucky lady. She most likely had the dermal filler Restylane, Juvederm, or Radiesse injected into the nasolabial folds in order to reduce the appearance of laugh-lines. She may have undergone a Thermage treatment to smoothen and tighten her jaw line. Thermage is a minimally invasive procedure which, the Thermage website boasts, "tightens existing collagen and stimulates new collagen growth for skin that looks and feels noticeably smoother and tighter." Perhaps Madonna went the surgical route and had a mini facelift, or "weekender" and a blepharoplasty (or eyelid lift). A mini facelift is less invasive than a traditional one as less lengthy scars and/or endoscopic techniques are used to reposition particular tissues such as those around the jaw and neck. The recovery time is often shorter and Madonna could be well just in time for downward-facing dog, Monday morning. Though I cannot say for certain what Madonna has done, she certainly looks like a million bucks. Good luck with your Sticky and Sweet tour, Madonna-- you're fans will always adore you!

Who thinks Chelsea Clinton had plastic surgery?

All those who made fun of the President's daughter during the Clinton administration are eating their words now! It seems as if Chelsea Clinton got a make-over -- perhaps a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. Chelsea introduced "my mother and my hero" on Monday night at the Democratic National Convention (see story in People.com). She looks great with her new look. She straightened and lightened her hair and lost her gummy smile (Source: goodplasticsurgery.com). Dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm can help disguise a gummy smile by plumping up the top lip. She may have had help from her dentist as well.

The rhinoplasty procedure can improve and refine the aesthetics of your nose with surgical techniques that improve a drooping tip, a bulbous tip or a dorsal bump. It also can narrow the bridge of the nose when osteotomies (or breaking the bones) are done. A septoplasty can correct and improve breathing problems which are caused by a condition known as a deviated septum. Chin augmentation is a small change that makes a world of difference. Jennifer Aniston and Lip Augmentation

Questions are always being raised as to whether or not Jennifer Aniston has had "work" done. Lately people have questioned whether she's had lip augmentation with soft tissue fillers. As you can see in the photo, if she did it was actually done well and very conservatively along the upper border of the lip. Lip injectables are soft tissue fillers (usually Restylane or Juvederm these days, a naturally occuring hyaluronic acid which is not permanent, and very "forgiving" or soft). She may have just used a different lipliner and gloss to give her lips a little perk--also the shots are taken from different angles so that could have something to do with the mildly different look to her lips.

She looks awesome. Whatever she's having, I'll have some too. And she's got a cute boyfriend, too.
